CASE STUDY | Making informed decisions to improve efficiency
SCENARIO
A large energy and petroleum company had a team of lawyers with too much work. The client needed an alternative to adding permanent headcount.
Kalexius undertook a review of the workload within the team for the client.
Kalexius produced a workload survey for distribution to in-house lawyers and then analyzed the returns.
OUTCOME
Kalexius identified over ten types of work which were low in complexity and volume in nature and suitable for outsourcing.
Kalexius also highlighted which staff were carrying higher workloads.
The client was able to make an informed decision on work that should stay in-house. This meant that in-house lawyers could focus on more strategic matters and no additional permanent headcount was needed.
